“Are these the guys we want to go after?” Annalie asked the group as they rested between sessions in their hangar/training facility.

“They’re the ones going to McCurdy’s,” Eelin replied.

“They all have a history with the Black Eyes,” Sinikka added.

“They are reported to have someone inside the CPD in their pocket,” Enni chimed in.

“We need something flashy and obvious. Something that will define the public narrative,” Marjo told the group.

Everyone looked at her and gave her words some thought.

“Can you unpack that?” Haley asked her.

“We need to stage a scenario that is obvious and misdirects both the targets and the public. It would be best to video the confrontation. If we do, then we can post it. We set the narrative that way. We tell the public what horrible criminals these people are, and that the CPD haven’t done anything to catch them,” Marjo elaborated.

“We can pose as a group videoing performance art to post online!” Enni offered.

“One of us will have to approach the targets and make sure they stay together in one place,” Eelin added.

“Do we have access to camera equipment?” Annalie asked.

“I’ll see to that,” Haley told them.

“Disguises,” Sinikka said.

“That’s me,” Art replied. “I’ve been talking with the elven healers about body mod rings.”

“I know just where to post the video, too,” Marjo added.

“One of us will have to keep the targets in place. We will need two on video. That leaves the rest of us to ‘perform’,” Annalie told them. “Who can we count on for this?”

“Fiona and me,” Haley said immediately.

“Fiona?” Art asked.

“Yeah, she’s working her sources, but really wants to get Gael out,” Haley replied.

“I’m in,” Minoae told them.

They all looked at Art.

“What?” he asked. “Of course I’m in.”

“Well, then,” Annalie said, “let’s put this plan together.”

“One of the things we need to keep in mind is they’re minotaurs. They have tempers. When their tempers flare, their instincts tend to take over,” Art told them.

“Really?” Annalie replied, thinking about possibilities.

“You know, we could try to…” Marjo began brainstorming.
